Website Rework

The website is now undergoing a long overdue makeover. The galleries are being reorganised to hopefully improve the browsing experience and to introduce print purchase for featured images.

The biggest challenge when deciding how the website should be structured is trying not to make the experience one of discovery and yet making the navigation easy.

The galleries and grouping of images has been one of the biggest quandaries and I’ve tried a few different ways that have not been particularly successful. So, in the evolution of the portfolio I’ve now settled on a set of galleries essentially based on concepts, techniques & projects. This will allow me going forward to develop the site based on what’s gone and the future to come without stressing over where to put new images all the time. Great thoughts but time will tell.

First up in the galleries will be the ‘exposed’ collection. This is essentially the long exposure work that I’ve been majoring on for some time now. In the process, some of the older images that don’t come up to scratch will not be appearing here, but may well stay on my Flickr stream for now. Some, need a bit of a rework before they appear again. Thankfully there are quite a few that are good to go without having to re-visit at all.

Anyway, I hope you like the revised format. Please feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think.

All the best
